General Conditions - Mira 2018

1. What Competitions are being held?

The Portuguese Pigeon Fanciers Federation organises the following competitions on the same day:

• FCI Grand Prix of Portugal
  (Competition intended for the individual participation for pigeon fanciers registered in Federations belonging to the FCI).
   

• European Championship
  (Competition intended for national teams representing FCI countries).
   

• European Youth Championship
  (Competition intended for national teams representing FCI countries).

2. Pigeon reception date?

The pigeons must be delivered between 01^st April and 15^th May 2018.

3. How old should the pigeons be at the time of delivery?

At the time of delivery, the pigeons should not be younger than 30 days nor older than 45 days.

4. Should the pigeons be vaccinated beforehand?

The pigeons should be vaccinated against Paramyxovirus (Newcastle disease) 10 to 15 days before the shipping date. Certificates of the veterinary must be sent. (Please specify the date of vaccination and the vaccine used).

5. How to send the pigeons from overseas?

If you intend to send the pigeons by plane, please follow these steps:

a) Send, by fax or e-mail, the AIR WAYBILL(AWB), list with identification of all the pigeons, a copy of the health certificates and an invoice with the note “No Commercial value” and a declaration of donation to the Portuguese Pigeon Fanciers Federation.
Important: Send the original documents with the cargo (pigeons)

b) Send the pigeons to the following destination:

Aeroporto Humberto Delgado - Lisboa - Portugal
Note: The pigeons should not arrive on weekends because customs are closed on these days.

c) As an alternative, the pigeons may be delivered to the company:

• The Agents will be posted on the FPC website (www.fpcolumbofilia.pt) as soon as possible.

6. Which documents should be sent with the pigeons?

• Pedigrees + Owner card + Certificate of the veterinary

7. Miscellaneous

• The FPC will keep continuously updated information at www.fpcolumbofilia.pt;

• All participating pigeons are considered property of the FPC, which will have authority to decide about their future;

• The organisation accepts no liability for loss of pigeons, accident or illness that prevents their participation in the trainings or in the final race. There shall be no refund the value of the inscription;

• If any pigeon suffers an accident or dies in the adduction, it can be replaced until May 21, without extra costs. The owners will be contacted by the organization.

• The distance and the training dates as well as the final race, can be changed depending on the weather conditions or other special circumstances.

• Pigeons without pedigree or whose pedigree does not correctly identify the source of the pigeons will be penalised 50% of prizes earned and will not be entitled to any reimbursement in the amount of the sale of their pigeons in auction.

• All the participants must provide their mobile phone number in the registration form so that we can send text messages with relevant information about their pigeons during the championship Mira OLR 2018.

• Pigeon fanciers should send their photo ( JPG file), so that the FPC post them in the website whenever their pigeons have a relevant performance.
